Issue is Filipinos don’t like to think about process and people are either too cocky or corrupt for their own ways. Could’ve experienced the fundamentals against great competition and had a longer process to develop. I don’t think he is a lock as a second rounder but he could and possibly can still get drafted or get that undrafted free agent signing.
For my alma mater team had an international big like Kai and developed himself into a conference player of the year this past season and key player throughout his tenure. Thing is he put himself in a much worse situation for my opinion. NBA G League Ignite: 2021 NBA Draft, Undrafted: United States-Princepal Singh: C: 6-9: 221: 20: NBA G League Ignite: 2021 NBA Draft, Undrafted: India-Isaiah Todd: PF: 6-10: 210: 19: NBA G League. He has to learn and not get discouraged if he struggles early and doesn’t expect things to go his way.
I think he has potential but he has to work really hard and not get stuck into the hype and pressure Filipinos always do with their talent.
#G league ignite roster professional#
It’s easier in the NBA but even then the professional stricture of the league can hurt a young guy like Kai. I think he can develop in the NBL but I feel like people think professional teams will just easily develop young stars like this. Also if he joined the G league he should’ve put that first over the national team this past February when he joined the team over some useless qualifiers.Īs someone who has gotten more invested into the college game because of having an alma mater who is decent on the NCAA, I really believe the NCAA has so much benefits that can help any young player make and try to Be successful in the NBA. Kai should’ve went to the NCAA when he had a chance.
